Background：Autonomous Vehicle

The Society of Automotive Engineers International (SAE) has classified the autonomous vehicle systems into six levels (Level 0-5). For the autonomous vehicles available nowadays, the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) has been classified in Level 2-3, and the full-automatic vehicles which without human control has been classified in Level 4-5. It is necessary to equipped with the HD-maps to improve sensor perception for those full-automatic vehicles.

The Ecosystem of HD Maps

Ministry of the Interior (MOI) and HD Maps Research Center proposed a complete ecosystem of HD Maps based on the concept of Ministry of the Interior (MOI) . It is efficient for integrating the base map from professional MMS and dynamic map from 3rd party sourcing to provide a safe-driving environment.
